The International Conference on Phononics and Thermal Energy Science (PTES) was initiated by Professor Baowen LI of Southern University of Science and Technology in 2013. The conference has been successfully held four times in Shanghai (2013&2014), Xi’an (2016), and Nanjing (2018).The Workshop on Thermal Transport (WTT) was initiated by Professor Lifa ZHANG in 2016 and is currently jointly convened by Professors Lifa ZHANG and Nuo YANG. This annual conference series has been successfully held nine times in Nanjing (2016), Yangzhou (2017), Xiamen (2018), Wuhan (2019), Qingdao (2020), Kunming (2021), Xi’an (2023), Lanzhou (2024), and Changsha (2025).WTT is organized by the Young Scientists Working Group of the Chinese Physical Society, undertaken by the Organizing Committee of the National Symposium on Heat Conduction, and co-organized by the editorial offices of Chinese Physics Letters (CPL), Chinese Physics B (CPB), Acta Physica Sinica, and Physics.
To accelerate the development of heat conduction research in China and promote academic exchange among scholars in this field, the joint conference of the 5th International Conference on Phononics and Thermal Energy Science (PTES2026) and the 10th Workshop on Thermal Transport (WTT2026) will be jointly hosted by Harbin Institute of Technology and Harbin Engineering University. The conference will be co-chaired by Professor Haochun ZHANG, Associate Professor Guantong WANG, and others, and will be held in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, China, from July 12 to 18, 2026. The conference will feature Plenary Lectures, Keynote Speeches, Invited Talks, Oral Presentations, and Poster Presentations covering key and emerging research areas in the field. Special awards will be presented for outstanding posters.
